Classes Offered at Lynda Kronzer Dance Studio
3’s
This is where it all begins! This fun and energetic class introduces our youngest dancers to the world of tap.
They will explore the sounds their tap shoes make, begin to understand rhythm, and move their bodies to a variety of music styles. Through playful movement and simple exercises, dancers will start learning 8-counts and work towards memorizing choreography — all while building confidence, coordination, and a love for dance!
4k-1st grade
This lively tap class is designed for young dancers ready to take the next step in their tap journey!
Dancers will continue developing their sense of rhythm while beginning to focus on proper tap technique.
They will learn foundational tap steps and terminology — including shuffle ball changes, paradiddles, and Maxie Fords — through fun combinations and musical activities. With an emphasis on clear sounds and musicality, this class builds both skill and confidence in a supportive, nurturing environment.
2nd-5th grade
In this class, dancers will refine their technique and continue building on foundational steps with increased precision and control.
Creativity is encouraged as students explore musicality, dynamics, and how their movements connect with the music. Dancers will also begin working on group coordination through traveling steps, formation changes, and choreography that emphasizes unity and timing. This space is where rhythm, creativity, and teamwork come together!
6th-8th grade
This class is for dancers who are ready to dive deeper into the art of tap. It focuses on more complex steps and footwork, dancing in double time, and exploring intricate rhythms and syncopation.
As dancers grow in skill, they’ll also grow in confidence as they’re supported by a strong sense of community. Through group exercises and team-building activities, we emphasize connection, collaboration, and friendship. In this class, dancers can challenge themselves technically while feeling seen, supported, and inspired by one another, which is so important at this formative age.
9th-12th grade
Our high school class focuses on dancers mastering complex rhythms, clean sounds, and strong technique while encouraging creativity and collaboration. Students will contribute to choreography, explore their own ideas, and work together in a fun, supportive environment. It’s about great dancing, personal expression, and connecting as a team.
Adults
This class is a fun way to keep your mind sharp and your feet moving! Based mostly on learning and repeating fun and fresh choreography, our adult students learn steps as they are incorporated into routines.
While we touch on a lot of the foundational steps, this class is more about dancing to your own rhythm and within your own boundaries and less about technique. With dancers ages 20-75 (and sometimes beyond!), it’s just about getting together and dancing to great music, no matter your skill level.
